SXSW PanelPicker: Thriving in Microgenres

As someone who blends my interests in Space and STEM across genres, from synthwave to progressive house and many others, my music rarely fits neatly into one category.

If you’ve felt the same, whether as an artist or in what you listen to, you know how meaningful it is when there’s room for music outside traditional boxes.

That’s what our proposed SXSW panel is about: “Making It Big In Your Microgenre: Thriving In Niche Scenes.” We’ll explore how microgenres spark creativity and connection. I’ll be moderating with Annu, an immersive future-dream-pop artist, and Michele Vice-Maslin, an Emmy-winning producer showing how niche sounds reach wide audiences.

Even if you can’t make it to Austin, you can still enjoy recaps afterwards.

I appreciate your support in helping move this conversation forward.

Thanks!

Flashback Friday: SXSW 2025

I also moderated a panel on the future of space commercialization this past SXSW!

The video recordings from Australia House @ SXSW 2025 are available on YouTube.

Thank you for your support! Have a great weekend!
